Sinopsis
After countless delays and excuses, Jungyeom finds himself backed into a corner regarding his engagement. The pressure from his future in-laws has become unbearable, leaving him no choice but to proceed with a wedding he never wanted. Yet, despite the inevitable march toward matrimony, there is someone in his life he holds above all else—someone irreplaceable. That person is none other than his younger brother, the one he selfishly stripped of everything and locked away. For Jungyeom, this brother is more than family; he is his entire world. During a bitter winter, when hope seemed as barren as the frozen ground, Jungyeom once again makes his way to his lover’s room. The air between them is tense, charged with unspoken words and lingering emotions. "So, tell me, hyung-nim," his brother taunts with a bitter edge, "how does it feel to marry my woman?" The Affair and Aftermath It was an impulsive affair. Jungyeom knew he walked the wrong way, but his connection to his little brother went beyond reason. The more he tried to get away, the more encircled he became in illogical emotions. His engagement evolved from being an obligation into a suffocating chain, closing tighter every single day. He was known to his brother more than anybody else, and it was he who had also felt the turmoil in him. Their bond forged through shared pain was on the verge of being broken ahead of the wedding. The bitterness in his brother's voice that winter evening reflected their unspoken resentment and betrayal. "So, hyung-nim, how does it feel?" he said sharply. "To marry my woman?" What follows is inevitable: their easily shaken trust shatters, and nothing remains but ruin. Jungyeom lost his brother's closest bond trying to fit in. His brother felt duped and discarded, growing silent as winter's chill seeped into his heart. Beginning Anew Spring returns even to the harshest of winters. Months later, Jungyeom was standing on foreign soil. The wedding ceremony proved hollow for him; he left lonelier than ever. His obligation-based marriage broke down to its emptiness. Jungyeom finally understood his wrongdoings and realized that redemption would not be as easy as he thought it would be, but he had to begin with whatever little he had on offer to his brother; though cautious, he let Jungyeom back in with certain conditions set. Slowly but surely, their broken bond began to heal. However, this time there would be no secret trysts and no cold whispered confessions. Instead, honesty-the brutal, painful healing kind of honesty-was on the table. For Jungyeom, rebuilding meant making something stronger, not the past again. Conclusion Jungyeom's journey was about accepting flaws rather than being perfect. His career in affair teaches many lessons of love, loyalty, and self-awareness. His brother emerged more resilient in loyalty and heartbreak, learning to know himself. They, however, though each was changed, learned to share the same space free from the weight of their past. Ultimately, Jungyeom's story seemed to fit better into the category of growth, rather than triumph. Shared scars reminded them of the journey, and from it, they forged a new route-one built on respect, understanding, and hope that damaged relationships can actually be given time to mend.
